Bandits have kidnapped the Emir of Bungudu, Zamfara State, Hassan Atto.

21st Century Chronicle has reported the incident happened in Kaduna State while the Emir was on his way to Abuja.

A family source, Ibrahim Bello, has confirmed the abduction to the online news platform.

“Yes, it’s true. He (the emir) was kidnapped along Kaduna- Abuja highway immediately after Olams Farm,” Mr. Bello said.

He, however, didn’t give details of the abduction.

The emir was the Secretary Government of the Zamfara State during Governor Abdulaziz Yari’s tenure before he was turbaned the Emir of Bungudu.
