Kaduna State government said the kidnapped Kano traders were not kidnapped along Kaduna-Abuja road as reported by various media outlets.
In a statement released by Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, he said the alleged kidnapping didn’t occur in Kaduna but elsewhere in another state.
Mr. Aruwan revealed that federal security agencies operating on the Kaduna- Abuja road as of this time have not report such incident.
He said government is the most credible source of security updates to the citizenry and the media, adding that all checks conducted so far by the the Kaduna state government did not sense such tragic incident.
Sources report that 20 traders from Kano had been kidnapped by the suspected kidnappers along Kaduna-Abuja road on their way to Aba, Abia state for their businesses
