The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) appointed Aisha Buhari as the head of its women’s campaign team on Saturday.
The First Lady is expected to guide the women’s wing of the party to victory as its grand patron.
The team is known as the Tinubu/Shettima Women’s Presidential Campaign Team.
According to a statement signed by Rinsola Abiola, the late Chief MKO Abiola’s daughter and a current member of the APC, who was also named to the media and administrative committees in the team for the women’s campaign, other key members of the team include Senator Oluremi Tinubu, a three-term senator from Lagos Central who serves in the upper chamber of the National Assembly and was formerly the first lady of Lagos State, and Nana Shettima, the former first lady of Borno State.
