Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Hon. Alhasan Ado Doguwa has threatened mayhem on anyone who doesn’t vote for the ruling APC in the 2023 General Elections.

Doguwa, who represents the Tudunwada/Doguwa constituency in the Green Chamber was seen in a video which has recently surfaced on the internet addressing a gathering of his supporters hurling out the threatening words.

“On Election Day, it’s either you vote for APC or you’re dealt with. I said it’s either you vote for the APC or you’re dealt with,” a defiant Doguwa said as he was repeatedly tried to be dissuaded from speaking by some of his aides at the event.

Known for his gaffes, The House Majority Leader was recently at the center of a controversy in the APC in Kano State, over his clash with the deputy governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State, Murtala Garo.

SAHELIAN TIMES had reported how Mr Doguwa attacked Mr Garo at a high-level meeting of the party at the residence of the Deputy Governor, Nasiru Gawuna, in early November.

An attack that Mr Doguwa justified, insisting that he doesn’t take insults, and especially not from the deputy gubernatorial candidate.

The governorship candidate of the opposition New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, had also threatened to boycott the forthcoming signing of peace accord in the state if the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas is not brought to book.

This was even as the APC has insisted that party chieftains of the NNPP arrested for carrying out violent attacks in the state must be brought to book.
