ISWAP terrorists ambush troops, kill one soldier in Borno

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) reportedly killed a Nigerian army officer in an attack in Munguno, Borno State.

The attack was on a Nigerian Army checkpoint along Baga road according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad.

The Nigerian Army captured the terrorist guntruck and killed one of the terrorists during the course of the gun battle.

ISWAP members were reportedly armed with a variety of weapons.

The Nigerian Army, on the other hand, have not yet to confirm the attack on their men.
