The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has extended its strike for a further 12 weeks.
ASUU in a statement signed by ASUU president Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, said this was done to give the government enough time to resolve all outstanding issues.
It also stated that the roll-over strike would begin on May 8, 2021, at 12:01 a.m.
According to ASUU, this decision was made following its National Executive Council meeting, which began on Sunday night at the Comrade Festus Iyayi National Secretariat, University of Abuja.
