No fewer than 10 bandits were reportedly killed by the troops of the Nigerian Army in raids on hideouts across communities in Kaduna.
According to Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna commissioner for internal security and home affairs, the troops identified as officers of operation Forest Sanity,
eight bandits were killed during ambush patrols in Chikun and Birnin Gwari areas.
He also noted that the troopsNigerian troops kill 11 suspected criminals in Zamfara
also recovered motorcycles.
In another operation, the troops killed two bandits during patrol in Sabon Birni-Maidaro-Dogon Dawa-Galadimawa-Kidandan-Fatika axis.
During the operation, the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, two magazines loaded with 52 rounds, six motorcycles, and three mobile phones
The troops also reportedly dislodged bandit camps around Garke and Galadimawa in Giwa LGA, where they recovered three Dane guns, two magazines, some military uniforms, and nine motorcycles.
The development comes amid intensified anti-banditry operations by security operatives, following attacks by gunmen in the state.
