Zamfara state Governor, Bello Matawalle, has confirmed that the kidnapped students of Government Secondary School Kagara, who were abducted last week, were sighted in Birnin Gwari forest in Kaduna state.

Matawalle said this in his interview with Channels Television on Sunday, where he said the students and other victims are in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state.

“Kagara students were sighted in a place close to Birnin Gwari forest and I am sure they will get their freedom soon” said Matawalle.

The Governor also said there’s a need for the government to face the security situation collectively in order to curb the security threat in some parts of the country.

Last week Tuesday, suspected gunmen stormed Government Secondary School Kagara in Niger state and abducted 42 people including students, staff and residents of the village.
