Certainly there is no gainsaying that every sane person in Bauchi State should applaud the concerted efforts the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu has been making for the state and the country. For the first time in the state’s history and by extension the entire northeastern region of Nigeria, four higher institutions of learning were sighted within one state and within six years. This is undoubtedly unprecedented.

One of the cardinal principles of this administration, as I notice, has been to revitalize the country’s educational sector by making it available for all Nigerians. Despite some challenges here and there, every section of this country has a feel of the government effort in this direction.

In his quest to ensure that his people squeeze out the maximum juice extractable from the dividends of democracy, Mallam Adamu has gradually brought forth these institutions of learning to the Bauchi State. They include Federal Air Force University, Bogoro in Bauchi South (with combined efforts of the then Airforce Chief. A. Sadiq); Federal College of Education, Jama’are; Federal Technical College, Misau in Bauchi Central zone; and, finally, the big thud, Federal University of Health, Nutrition and Medical Sciences, Azare in Bauchi North. We cannot absolve ourselves from criticism, but, be that as it may, Adamu has paid his tithe to his people. Every town, every state and every region of this country would wish Adamu had come from within their enclave, for he is a worthy ambassador.

The entire people of Katagum are on their feet giving a rousing standing ovation for your relentless effort towards salvaging the sorry state of education in the zone. You have indeed put a smile on the lips of all sons and daughters of Bauchi State. Lest I forget, your intervention saw over 500+ graduates secured befitting jobs in various government formations and this is beside the many political heavyweights you ensured their deserved inclusion as board members, chairpersons, or chief executives of several government parastatals.

For the aforementioned and more, we appreciate in all honesty. The people of Bauchi State are saying “Kudos to their Katuka”! Yours is a bumper harvest. You have paid your dues and we are very grateful. May we be blessed with more Adamu Adamus. May God Almighty protect you against all evils and other machinations. May you live long to smile when the seeds you sow today come to fruition. Allah yasa na bayanka su yi kishinka su fika yi!
