The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, has yet again posted a new commissioner of police to Kano.
An earlier signal dispatched to commands and formations on Monday by the IGP cancelled the deployment of Feleye Olaleye as Kano commissioner of police and posted CP Ahmed Kontagora as replacement.
But in a counter-signal dispatched early Tuesday morning, the IGP has now posted CP Usaini Gumel to lead the command during the Governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.
Gumel will become the 4th CP posted to the commercial state in the space of 8 days.
