The latest meeting aimed at reconciling the warring factions of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state has ended in a stalemate.
SAHELAIN TIMES gathered that the stakeholders of the party led by the Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni met with the two camps aiming for the control of the party at the state level at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja on Friday.
According to sources within the meeting, neither camp of the warring factions has shifted ground on the major bone of contention that prompted the series of meetings recently.
According to the source , the Shekarau-led camp insisted on keeping the leadership of the party since they have a court’s judgment recognizing the victory of their candidate, Ahmed Danzago.
However, at the end of the meeting, the committee concluded that it would study the demands of each side and make decisions accordingly.
Those in attendance include: Senator, Ibrahim Shekarau, Senator Kabiry Gaya, the Leader House of Representatives, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Senator Barau Jibrin, and some representatives of the state government.
