Again, kidnapers kill another Kano businessman after collecting ransom
A Kano-based businessman who had been kidnapped for about ten days along the Kaduna-Jos road was killed by his abductors.
The deceased businessman, identified only as Malam Magaji and popularly known as Alaramma by his associates, was reportedly on a business trip when he was kidnapped.
According to Ismail Ahmad, a business partner and associate of the deceased, the families of the deceased negotiated with the kidnappers for days.
“After days of negotiation, the families agreed and paid the ransom, yet they murdered him,” he said.

This is coming a few days after another Kano businessman was killed by kidnappers in Kaduna despite collecting a huge ransom from his family.
Magaji’s kidnapping is an unusual report of a kidnapping along the Kaduna-Jos route other than Kaduna-Abuja road.
The Kaduna-Abuja road is the most dangerous route for travellers.
