President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with the governors of the northern caucus of All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting’s agenda is expected to be centred on the northern governors’ decision to support a power shift to the south.
The governors had asked Buhari on Saturday to consider the southern presidential candidates when selecting the ruling party’s flagbearer in the 2023 elections.
