All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders have approved Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s bid for the Kano North Senatorial District ticket.
The seat which is currently occupied by Senator Barau Jibrin, a member of the G-7 faction and a front-runner for the governorship of the state, will be appointed unopposed by Ganduje.
The decision was one of the outcomes of a stakeholder’s meeting held in the early hours of Sunday at Kano State Government House.
Ganduje’s posters and campaign vehicles began to circulate throughout Kano.
The stakeholders have also picked Nasiru Gawuna as the party’s governorship candidate, a position for which the senator has expressed interest.
