Two members of the Sahaba mosque self-help group were injured when a motorcade of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign team attacked them with knives and machetes on the eve of Jama’at prayer.

According to an eye witness, the incident occurred when a self-help group member responsible for controlling traffic stopped the APC campaign motorcades to allow Muslim faithfuls access to the Juma’at mosque.

This action angered the thugs who came out with sophisticated knives and machetes and attacked the man and people that came to rescue him.

“He and one other person were left in a pool of blood and had to be rushed to the AKTH emergency room to save their lives,” said an eye witness who confided with the SAHELIAN TIMES.

Recall that recently the Kano state police command had paraded about 60 thugs apprehended during the visit of the APC presidential candidate.

Pundits are concerned that with this trend, thuggery and violence may mar the 2023 election in Kano.
