The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, has described the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as a great leader and stated that he would personally reach out to him at the appropriate time ahead of the 2023 elections.

Shettima, while delivering a lecture at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Imams Forum yesterday in Abuja vowed not to speak of any humiliation against Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso throughout the upcoming elections.

He also hoped that they would be able to sit together and understand one another soon.

“Those planning to divide this country will not succeed, and as such, we have to tolerate one another and make sacrifices,” Shettima said.

The event according to the chairman, Committee of the FCT Imam Initiative (CFII), Imam Tajuddeen Bello,  had representatives of imams from all the 17 southern states of the country in attendance, with the theme: “Imams’ Unity for National Development.”

He said a similar conference was also organised for the 19 northern states’ imams last year.
