Suspected bandits have killed no fewer than 14 people on Tuesday in Sabuwa LGA, Katsina state.

The bandits also forcefully collected a number of bulls from children rearing them in the outskirts of Sabuwa town, according to a report published by Katsina Post.

The residents of the village later organized a counter attack to retrieve the stolen cattle, however, the bandits ended up shooting several people they met in the bush, leaving about 14 dead.

Speaking in confidence, one of the residents urged Katsina state government to deploy troops in Tashar Bawa village, which he said was the only route of the bandits not blocked.

He also said the residents of Tsaunin Batsi and DANKURMI villages repelled the attack with den guns, as a result no one was kidnapped by the bandits.
