David Ornstein exclusively reported that ‘Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Oleksandar Zinchenko from Manchester City.’

Thenceforth, multiple sports journalists, especially transfer experts, have gone on to further confirm his report.

The gunners’ correspondent for Goal, Charles Watts, augmented Ornstein’s exclusive in a post he made on his social media handle saying:

“Growing belief now that Arsenal and City will strike a deal over Zinchenko. Nothing agreed yet, but discussions over a fee are ongoing and moving in the right direction. All parties working towards getting deal done. Talks are going well.”

Like with G.Jesus, Mikel Arteta, had worked closely with Zinchenko during his time at Manchester City, working as Guardiola’s second in command.

Zinchenko, 25, joined City in 2016 from Russian club, FC Ufa. He went on to enjoy multiple successes since his arrival to Mancester.

While the player’s original playing position is in the central midfield, he has played remarkably well as a left-back for the citizens.

After missing out on Lisandro Martinez, Arsenal have turned their attention to the Ukraine International.

They believe he will not only offer competition to Kerien Tierney but also be an option in the central midfield, where he operates for his country.

City are ready to sell Zinchenko if their valuation for the player is met.

A fee in the region of £35m is understood to be their asking price for the 25 year old.
