Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State, has attended the funeral prayers of Rilwan Aminu Gadagau, a slain member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
Rilwan Aminu Gadagau, a member of the Giwa West Constituency, was shot by bandits on Monday along the Kaduna-Zaria Road.
According to a statement issued by Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, the Governor was greeted by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, and other lawmakers at the Haruna Danja Jumma’a Mosque in Tudun Wada, Zaria.
“After the funeral prayers, the Governor described Gadagau as a lawmaker who was committed and dedicated to his constituents and the state as a whole. He prayed for the repose of his soul, as well as the souls of other citizens killed in recent attacks in the state,” the statement reads.
