Bandits demand 500 million as ransom for kidnapped passengers abducted in Rijau local government in Niger state.
In a viral video released by the bandits, they were shown together, with one woman standing with the kidnapped passengers, shooting AK-47 guns and threatening them.
The victims were also shown in the video begging people and the Niger State Government to come to their rescue.
Yesterday, the bandits released a video and two pictures of the passengers abducted, demanding for N500 million as ransom. Majority of the abductees are women & small children.
The passengers were abducted while travelling in a luxurious bus owned by Niger State Transport Agency. In the video, the bandits are seen displaying sophisticated weapons in a place that looks like a community.
Niger state is one of the northern states struggling with insecurity especially from bandits and kidnappers.
The State Governor, Abubakar Sani, was in Ibadan, Oyo state yesterday to commiserate with the Hausa people who were attacked and killed in recent Sasha market conflict.
