Bandits released retired Colonel Rabiu Garba Yandoto and his children, After collecting N10 million.
While confirming the victim’s release in an interview with SAHELIAN TIMES, one of Yandoto’s family members who requested anonymity said the bandits initially demanded N50 million in ransom.
However, the money was reduced to N5 million after a series of negotiations between the bandits and the family.
He added the bandits later collected N10 million instead of N5 million earlier agreed.
” After collecting the ransom they dropped him with his children near Faskari town in Katsina State.”
He noted that the victims were realesed on Tuesday.
