Bandits killed two residents of Udawa village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident reportedly happened around 8 pm on Sunday.
According to a source, neighbourhood watch members with the help of local security officers confronted the bandits and forced them to flee the community.
“Those killed were Sarkin Komo who recently moved into the village while the second person was a blind man who was hit by a bullet,” he said.
He said the security situation in that area was worrisome, urging security agencies to intensify efforts to end the killings of innocent people in the state.
