Bandits kill 35 people including village head in Zamfara

Bandits have killed at least 35 people, including a village head, in two separate attacks in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The terrorist attacked Kadaddaba, Rafin Gero, Babban Baye, Wanu and Daki Takwas on Thursday evening and Friday morning.

According to a source, the bandits killed six people in Wanu, four people in Kadaddaba, two in Babban Baye, and three in Rafin Gero.

Many of the resident that escaped the bandits attack fled  to Anka in the evening.
The source said that “the villagers called security agents several times while they were being attacked, but there  was no any response.” 
He noted that 15 people were killed “just like that yesterday” (Thursday).

On Friday, local sources said 20 people were killed in Daki Takwas in the same local government area.
The Friday attack was in Daki Takwas is few kilometres from the main town and also not far from the Federal Government College Anka.
Another source in the community said “Twenty people were killed in the attack.

“They went into the town in the morning when local traders were getting ready to go to the Anka weekly market so, most of the 20 people killed were preparing to go to the market for business,” he said.
