Bandits have killed two people and kidnapped four others in the Sardauna community of Sokoto State’s Sabon Birni Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the victims were farmers working on their farmland around 3:30 pm on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Hamza Na’allah and Zubairu Haruna.
The leader of the Sabon Birni vigilante group, Musa Muhammad, popularly known as Blacky stated that the farmers were three at the time of the attack, but one of them escaped unharmed into a nearby village.
Despite the current calm in the area, he said, minor attacks were still being reported in remote communities.
According to him, the marauders abducted four people four days ago along the Sabon Birni-Goronyo road.
