No fewer than two persons were killed while breaking their fast in a fresh attack in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

According to residents, the bandits stormed Chiri, Kwakwa, Jewi, and Kadna in their hundreds and abducted two people.

Confirming the incident to SAHELAIN TIMES, Barrister Salis M Sabo, spokesperson of the Coalition of Shiroro Associations (COSA) identified one of the abducted victims as  a son to the staff of North South Power of Shiroro Dam.

He noted that the bandits had arrived in Gwada town for the first time at Tapila Junction.

“The attack was carried out while locals were breaking their fast in this holy month of Ramadaan. They looted a business centre and carted away with many phones.”

Terrorists continue to expand their activities, even into towns that were previously thought to be relatively peaceful.
