An advocate of the restoration of peace in the North was killed yesterday when bandits who have lately been terrorizing Kaduna state, staged a daredevil attack at Rigasa train station.
Many people have reportedly sustained gunshots injuries during yesterday’s attack.
The deceased who was identified as Auwal, was a former Speaker of the Student Union Governmet (SUG) in Bayero University. He was killed along with others by the gunmen.
There were also others who sustained injuries from gunshots, including El-khaddab Arewa who was hospitalized at 44 Armed Forces Reference Hospital, Kaduna.
Many other people are reportedly missing after the attack, but Sahelian Times could not ascertain their actual number. It’s feared that some of them might have been kidnapped by the gunmen.
Comrade Auwal was buried in Kaduna, on Saturday morning.
