Officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kano State have arrested the Chairmen of Gwarzo and Kano Municipal, Bashir Abdullahi Kutama and Faizu Alfindiki for alleged sponsorship of thuggery that resulted in the deaths of four people.
Alfindiki, who is known for using armed political thugs to instill fear in the state, allegedly collaborated with other council chairs to sponsor attacks that resulted in killing of several people during the recently concluded inauguration of All Progressive Congress (APC) executives in the state.
The DSS also declared Khalid Ishaq Diso, the Chairman of Gwale Local Government of Kano wanted on the same allegations.
A source also disclosed that Dr. Sabiu, an SSA to the governor was also arrested by the Security on the same allegations.
The arrests came less than twenty hours after the Kano State Police Command confirmed the killing at the APC executives’ inauguration.
