Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists, on Sunday, killed two police officers and injured five others along Maiduguri-Damaturu Road in Borno State.
The terrorist ambushed policemen at Goni Matari village between Mainok and Jakana in Kaga Local Government Area of the state and burnt two patrol vehicles.
The insurgents, according to a Daily Trust report, flee when a team from 29 Task Force Battalion as well as the police CRACK team and Rapid Response Squad advanced to the area.
Bodies of the two slain policemen were recovered by Borno State Police Command.
