Kidnapped Kantin Kwari market traders, who had been abducted earlier this week in Lokoja, on their way from Kano to Abia state for business, have regained freedom after paying ransom to the kidnappers.
The market’s spokesperson, Alhaji Mansur Haruna Dandago confirmed the news to Sahelian times.
Alhaji Mansur said they secured the released of the traders, who spent five days in captivity, after paying undisclosed amount of money as ransom.
The victims are expected to arrive Kano anytime from now.
