The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has revealed that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike will be called off in a few days.
The speaker made the revelation while briefing ASUU leadership on his meetings with President Muhammadu Buhari regarding the crisis.
While responding to the briefing, ASUU President Prof Emmanuel Osodeke commended the House of Representatives for intervening in the protracted dispute between university lecturers and the Federal Government.
He said, “For the first time, we have seen light at the end of the tunnel.”
