More than 50 farmers have been kidnapped on Sunday at Lingyadi village, Maru local government area, Zamfara state.
The incident happened today when the farmers were working on their farms for seasonal harvest.
The Zamfara state Commissioner of Security and Internal Affairs, Abubakar Justice Zauran, has confirmed the report.
However, he insisted that the number was not up to 50.
