Latest report from Gaidam Local Government, Yobe State, indicated that Boko Haram terrorists have stormed the city at around 6pm, firing sporadically at the time people were rushing home to break Ramadan fast.
A resident of the town, Mallam Haruna Muhammad, who narrated what happened, said that the terrorists stormed the town well armed with sophisticated weapons. They fired random shots to scare the people, who ran away out of fear for their dear lives.
The Police Public Relation Officer of Yobe state, Abdulkareem Dungus, confirmed the attack and said the Nigerian Air Force are currently at the place to stop them from entering the city.
“We were informed that Boko Haram terrorists stormed the city but Nigerian Air Force responded to the place,” he said.
