President Muhammadu Buhari has landed in Kano for a one-day official visit to the state.
Buhari, whose flight touched down at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at around 10:00 am, is billed to attend the Nigerian Air Force 58 years Anniversary opening event as a Special Guest of Honor.
According to the President’s Personal Assistant on Media, Malam Bashir Ahmad, the president will pay a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano at his palace.
Moreover, as part of the itinerary for his visit, Buhari will use the occasion to commission 7 new Pakistani built Super Mushshak (MFI-17) military aircrafts, as part of efforts to boost the capacity of the 58 year old Nigerian Air Force which is involved in Anti-Terrorism operations across different parts of the country.
