BREAKING: Gombe Governor reshuffles cabinet, sacks 3 commissioners

Gombe State Government has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle of the Governor Inuwa Yahaya administration.

The move, in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government and released by the Director-General, Press Affairs, announced the sacking of the commissioners for health (Dr. Ahmed Gana), Information and Culture (Alhassan Kwami), and Special Duties (Mela Nunghe SAN).

In the same vein, the governor nominated 3 individuals to replace the sacked commissioners, pending their confirmation before the state assembly. The new commissioners include: Ibrahim Idris Kwami, Abubakar Aminu Musa and Mr. Christopher Abdu Buba Maisheru. Mr. Maisheru is the son of the late Mai Tangale, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru whose death sparked a violent succession battle that led to loss of lives and destruction of property in Billiri LGA.

Six commissioners are moved to different ministries: Adamu Kupto (from housing to internal security), Habu Dahiru (from education to health), Dauda Batari (from internal security to education), Mohammed Danladi Speaker (from Lands to Rural Development), Usman Jafun Biri (from Rural Development to Lands and Survey), and Julius Ishaya (from Youth to Information and Culture).

In the statement, the Governor thanked the former commissioners while wishing the new ones success in their new positions.
