A High Court, sitting in Lagos, has convicted Managing Director of the defunct Finbank Plc and 3 other Executive Directors of the bank, for stealing over 18 billion Naira from the bank.
The Presiding judge, Lateefat Okunnu, sentenced the 1st and 2nd Defendants (Okey Nwosu and Dayo Famoroti) to 3years jail term and ordered them to repay 18 Billion Naira.
The court also sentenced the 3rd Defendant (Danjuma Ocholi) to 12months in jail and the 4th Defendant (Agnes Ebubedike) to 6months community service.
The bank executives were once sacked by Emir Sunusi when he was Central Bank Governor.
