The Police Command in Kano has arrested 5 suspected kidnappers in the Jaba, Ungoggo Local Government in the state.
An eye witness told Sahelien Times that the operation is currently ongoing, and the police are making efforts to trace and arrest the 6th suspect.
The kidnappers were successfully traced by the police after they had abducted 2 people from Zamfara state and kept them in a rented home at Jaba village.
According to the source, the two kidnapped people have been freed during the operation.
The Kano State police command spokesperson said he cannot comment on the issue now as the operation is ongoing, however, a security source has confirmed the report to Sahelian Times.
