Reports coming in from Kano say that some soldiers raided Filin Lazio in Hotoro, Nassarawa Local Government Area, arresting 10 people. The raid happened on Saturday evening, when Muslim faithfuls were about to break their fast. The soldiers surrounded a mosque and took away some men inside the mosque.
Eyewitnesses report says that at least 10 people were taken away in the raid.
The mosque reportedly belongs to some people from Borno State who fled, due to the Boko haram insurgency, and settled in Kano.
Some unidentified items were reportedly taken away from the surroundings of the mosque by the security personnel.
All efforts to reach security operatives for comments concerning the raid proved abortive.
