President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Kano, on receiving the Republic of Senegal’s highest honor, the “National Order of Lion.”
While congratulating the monarch, President Buhari said the honour was richly deserved and praised his Senegalese counterpart for recognizing the inherent qualities of the traditional head of the most populous northern city.
Buhari added that the Senegalese honour Emir was a recognition “for his exceptional services in promoting peace, harmony and the well-being of his people and as well as his promotion of the friendly and strategic partnership between Nigeria and Senegal.”
He urged the monarch to keep up the good work.
President Macky Sall bestowed the honor on the Emir during his recent visit to the country.
