Some of the governors of the ruling party, including Governor of Jigawa State and Presidential Aspirant, Badaru Abubakar and his Nasarrawa State counterpart, Abdullahi Sule were also in attendance.

Earlier on Sunday, The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, said that President Muhammadu Buhari has not directed that the party’s 2023 presidential ticket should go to any particular geopolitical zone of the country.

The Chairman, through his spokesperson, Muhammad Nata’ala Keffi, in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, quoting his principal, said that the Saturday gathering between the president and the APC’s presidential aspirants didn’t discuss zoning.

Keffi noted that such claims were false, mischievous and misleading.
