Buhari leaves Abuja to Daura for APC membership renewal

President Muhammad Buhari has left Abuja to his hometown Daura in Katsina State, today to renew his membership card of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the President left Abuja after concluding Jumu’at prayer at the State House mosque.

According to NAN, Buhari will visit his ward, Sarkin Yara in Daura, where he will renew his APC membership card at 12 noon.

On Thursday, APC director, Professor Ussifu Medaner, said every member of the party must renew his membership card by himself.

He also stressed that it’s very important for members of the party to renew their membership card, because the need for the new card may arise soon.

Mr. Medaner added that there will be no proxy representation for the exercise.
