Buhari to meet presidential task force on COVID-19 today

President Muhammad Buhari will today, 22 February 2020 meet with the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 at the State House, as the number of coronavirus cases is increasing across Nigeria.

Yesterday the committee under the leadership of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has announced new guidelines to curb the spread of the disease as the world entered the second wave of the pandemic.

Though there’s no clue on what will be the topic of the meeting but reports say that the committee will present new guidelines to the president, including recommendation for a possible lockdown.

Some of the guidelines that havw been announced yesterday include civil servants from grade level 12 below to work from home for the next five weeks.

All schools around the country should also be closed till January next year.

The committee also instructed that cinemas, bars, restaurants, and exercise places should be closed.
