Buhari’s former media aide rejects APC’s primary election result

A former personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has rejected the results of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primaries in Kano’s Albasu/Gaya/Ajingi federal constituency.

Ahmad stated that the primaries were marred by irregularities, specifically thuggery.

He alleged that thugs were used to hamper the peaceful conduct of the election, adding that he left the venue for the security of the delegates.

” On my arrival to the venue as an aspirant too, I was denied access to the voting area.” 

My supporters who were around the premises for the primaries resisted the unjust treatment I was given and attempted insisting on my entrance into the voting area.

Bashir call on call  stakeholders of the APC, to as a matter of urgency, save the reputation of the party ” by  insisting on the members of the electoral committee to conduct a fresh, free and fair election.” 

The incumbent member, Abdullahi Mahmood, Gaya was announced as the winner of the election.
