Ondo State Government has criticised Presidency’s response to its decision to order herdsmen out of the state’s forest reserves.
The State Commissioner of Information, Donald Ojogo, said this while replying the statement made by the Federal Government in reaction to Gov. Akeredolu’s latest directive.
Mr. Ojogo also said Garba Shehu’s comment is a recipe for disunity, and can injure the collective well being of the nation.
It will be recalled that just this week the Ondo state governor gave seven days ultimatum to all Fulani herdsmen to vacate the state’s forests and suspend grazing activities.
Governor Akeredolu said that as the chief security officer of his state, he cannot fold his arms to watch the criminal activities going on in the state.
On 19th January 2021, President Muhammad Buhari through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, had lamented about Governor Akeredolu’s unconstitutional order, saying that the governor must abide by the rules of law.
