Suspected Ambazonia separatists from Cameroon have caused mayhem in Taraba State’s Takum Local Government Area.

The culprits gunned killed the Manga community’s village leader and some inhabitants, according to Senate Deputy Minority Leader Emmanuel Bwacha.

Kashimbilla Dam is 20 kilometers away from Manga village.

The member said the residents were killed during an invasion of the settlement by Cameroonian separatists, who also razed the village, during a point of order during Senate plenary on Wednesday.

The separatists’ incursion, according to Bwacha, who represents Taraba South in the Senate, jeopardized Nigeria’s territorial sovereignty because their motivation is unknown.

As a result, he called on the military to take urgent action to prevent the separatists from occupying the Manga community.

“I rise this morning to raise the attention of our countrymen, especially our security agencies, to this tragic incident that threatens our nation’s integrity and sovereignty,” he added.

“Since the 23 Battalion of the Nigerian Army is stationed in the Takum local government, Mr. President, it is my humble request that the Nigerian Army rise to the challenge and put a stop to this unbridled territorial expansion.”

“Their (Separatists) motivation is unknown at this time; whether they seek to extend territory or stake a claim to Southwest Cameroon is unclear.”

“At this very moment, a lot of people have gone missing, and their whereabouts are unclear. The village has likewise been demolished.”

following that, the Senate observed a minute of silence to remember those killed by Ambazonia separatists.
