Manchester United are on the verge of losing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer after his recent decision to leave the club if a considerable bid arrives.

Ronaldo came back to United for a second spell after leaving, Juventus last year, on a 2-year contract.

The 37 year old is, however, ready to leave to club after being unconvinced with the club’s future direction.

United’s Premier league rivals, Chelsea, are said to be keeping watchful eyes on the Portuguese situation at Old Trafford.

New Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly, has already started conversations on possibilities of bringing Ronaldo to Stanford bridge with Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent.

Mendes and Todd Boehly have been in contact since their initial meeting in Portugal last month.

Talks between the two parties are said to be going well although United have made it clear that the forward has a contract with them until 2023.

Boehly and the rest of the Chelsea hierarchy are eager to win over the fans at Stamford bridge. For that reason, they are engrossed by the idea of making such statement addition to their squad this summer.

Erik Ten Hag is likely to have a tough time convincing the 37 year old to stay at the club as the portuguese looks to wrap up his career on a high.
