A cholera outbreak in Maiduguri has killed at least 20 repentant Boko Haram members.
The victims were recorded in the state’s Haj camp, where approximately 12,000 repentant Boko Haram terrorists who surrendered to the army are hosted.
At the time of writing this report, the state had over 1,000 cases reported, with hundreds currently receiving treatment in various health centers.
The outbreak has also claimed the lives of an undisclosed number of residents across the state.
Health workers are battling the fatality with the help of non-governmental organizations and the World Health Organization (WHO).
