Condemnations trail vandalization of constituency project by Kano council chair

Residents of Sharada community in Municipal Local Government of  Kano State have expressed their outrage with the destruction of constituency project construction site by thugs at the behest of the chairman of the local government, Fa’izu Alfindiki.

Alfindiki on Monday led a group of hoodlums to vandalize the project attracted to Sharada community by the member representing the council at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.

Some of the residents in an interview with our reporter said there were very disappointed with the action of Alfindiki.

“I am personally very disappointed with the chairman’s action, this is a project we need. unfortunately, the chairman is against the development of his people, “ said Ibrahim Aliyu.

“This is the highest level of uncivilization that can be shown in this age and time. He prefers selling the land, or erecting shop structures, ” another resident, Muhammad Abdullahi alleged.

SAHELAIN TIMES gathered that Alfindiki arrived at the site of the project around 5:00 pm on Monday with the gang of miscreants ordered them to disrupt the ongoing project.

He was sighted in a video pulling off a signpost, kicking it off with his leg as his thugs swarmed in ad the site.

However, residents of the community didn’t allow the chairman to finish the job as they mobilized themselves to chase him and his thugs away.

The chairman did not respond to our reporter’s calls and text messages at the time of writing this report
