President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to consider the suffering of students and call an end to the current strike.
The president also begged the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to be patient while the federal government works to resolve the crisis.
Buhari made the call during the 19th National Productivity Day Celebration at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja on Thursday.
