The suppliers of contaminated Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) will appear before the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), on Tuesday.

MRS, Emadeb/Hyde/AY Maikifi/Brittania-U Consortium, Oando, and Duke Oil have been named as the suppliers who will respond to the panel’s questions about the recent entry of contaminated PMS into the country.

The committee on Thursday grilled Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, during which he implicated Duke Oil, a NNPC subsidiary.

The MPs insisted that those responsible for the poisoned fuel be held accountable.

Earlier, on February 10, the House sought an investigation into key parties allegedly implicated in the matter.

Many representatives, who spoke on the development, called for sanctions against the Federal Government agencies and officials,  who failed to conduct due diligence before passing the goods on to marketers.
