Court remands four policemen in prison for murder in Kano

Four policemen have been arraigned before a senior magistrate court sitting in Nomans-Land in Kano, on charges bordering on criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.

The suspected killers were identified as sergeants Adamu Ubale and Muritala Ismail and are allegedly responsible for the death of one Ibrahim Suleiman, a 25 year-old and Abubakar isah, a 30 year old man.

It could be recalled that on 15th November, 2020, SAHELIAN TIMES reported how the accused police officers from the anti-daba unit of Kano state police command allegedly killed two people in Sharada quarters in the state.

Two other policemen,  sergeant Adamu Ubale attached to anti daba operational base and Muritala Ismail were arrested for conspiring criminally in the killings.

The presiding magistrate, Mallam Aminu Gabari, ordered that the suspected killer policemen be remanded in prison custody.

The case is adjourned to March 30th, for further investigation.
